March 25 – Memphis Soul
First time in Grand Prairie!
Memphis Soul is an 8 piece Motown and classic dance band. The band features lead male and female vocals, trumpet, sax, guitar/vocals, bass, keys, and drums. Memphis Soul has opened for, backed and performed with notable musicians including Mary Wilson, Sister Sledge, members of Earth Wind and Fire, and Morris Day and the Time.
April 1 - Shoot Low Sheriff
An Annual tradition! Shoot Low Sheriff is an authentic Western Swing inspired by the classic Western Swing bands, their music combines strings, horns and piano to recapture the sounds that swept Southern dancehalls in the thirties and forties. Shoot Low Sheriff makes the music fresh and exciting combining equal parts urban and rural, sophisticated and rustic. Young and old alike will find themselves smiling and singing along to classic songs from the Western Swing era.
April 8 – Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Bluegrass Band
The band mixes the timeless classics of the Beatles with a down-home string band sound. Concert-goers can expect a light-hearted experience, as the band engages the audience through witty stage banter. The show will be good clean fun for Beatles fans of all ages. “We get anyone from junior high kids to senior citizens enjoying our shows and singing along to the Beatles’ songs. We don’t try to play note for note covers and we don’t take ourselves too seriously,” says Dave Walser, guitarist and vocalist.
April 15 - Mood Swings Big Band
Featuring hometown favorite Cody Schwartz!
Mood Swings Big Band will be playing Classic and Smooth Jazz to delight your ears and sooth your soul.
