Myrle Knox Memorial Juried Art Show

The Myrle Knox Memorial Juried Art Show features original artwork including Drawing, Painting, Sculpture/3D, Mixed Media, Photography, and Digital Media. It is a free, family-friendly event so come on out and take a look at some of the area's local talent has to offer!

Myrle Knox was a former president of the Grand Prairie Association of Artists and an avid painter. She was well known by her community for her classy taste, her stylish looks and her art. She had a passion for art that surpassed anyones understanding and it showed throughout the town of Grand Prairie as well as through the homes of her loved ones. Our annual art show is held in memory of our dear friend and fellow artist.

2025 Myrle Knox Memorial Juried Art Show & Sale

Showcase your talent, compete for awards, and have your work seen by over 1,200 art lovers at GPAC’s annual juried exhibition.

Cash Prizes — Over $3,000 Awarded

Best in Show – $600
1st Place (each category) – $200
2nd Place (each category) – $125
3rd Place (each category) – $75
An artist may only win once per category, but may win in multiple categories if entered separately.

Artist Entry Details

Open to all artists 18 years and older
Each entry may include up to 3 original works in the same category – $40 entry fee
Want to submit to multiple categories? Register again and submit up to 3 new pieces per category.

Artwork must be original and created by the artist.
Reproductions, previously submitted pieces, or copied works are not eligible.

Deadline to Enter: Midnight, Sunday, August 31, 2025
Acceptance Notices Sent: Wednesday, September 3
Art Drop-Off: Sunday, September 7, 2–5 PM at the Uptown Theater, 120 E Main St, Grand Prairie, TX 75050
Judging: Friday, September 12
Awards Reception: Sunday, September 14, 2:00 PM (Uptown Theater)
Art Pickup: Sunday, September 28, 4–7 PM

Entries left in “Pending” status without payment will not be eligible for judging.

Sales & Commission

Artworks may be available for sale during the show.
GPAC retains a 15% sales commission on all sold pieces.
