Gary Kelly Memorial Photography Show

The Gary Kelly Memorial Photography show gives photographers in our community and DFW a chance to showcase their works. From still lifes to portraits to photojournalism, beautiful pieces are displayed in the Uptown Gallery for all to see.

Gary Kelly was a beloved former member of the Grand Prairie Association of Artsts. After he retired, he pursued his lifelong passions of music and photography, full-time. He took photography workshops, joined the Dallas Camera Club and Grand Prairie Arts Council, winning numerous awards including "Best of Show" and "Doctor of Field Tripology". Not only did he have a passion for photography, but also mentoring other artists. This photography show is held annual in memory of our dear friend and fellow artist.

2023 Photography Show

An Art Exhibit featuring our talented pool of community and/or professional photographers!

As a compliment to our theater production "School of Rock" this art exhibition will feature images deemed rebellious by the photographer! Artists are asked to submit up to three images for display that represent some form of rebellion. Works depicting any unsafe or suggestive material may be screened out by our selection committee. While we work really hard to accept a wide range of artwork and subject matter, we still have to meet the family friendly guidelines of our venue.

Load in of Artwork: June 4th, 2023 at noon-1pm. Takedown: June 25, 2023 from 3 - 4pm Uptown Theater in Grand Prairie. Additional details will be provided to accepted artists.

Deadline for Entry
June 1, 2023
