GPAC gives out scholarships every year to students for our Summer in the Arts programming and seniors pursuing higher education in the arts.

Current Scholarship Opportunities for 2025
THE GRAND PRAIRIE ARTS COUNCIL 2025 VOLUNTEER SCHOLARSHIP
The Grand Prairie Arts Council is proud to offer one $1000 scholarship to reward any graduating senior for past accomplishments and to encourage future pursuits.
The scholarship is intended to reward a student for volunteering for the Grand Prairie Arts Council.
The Scholarship is awarded to a graduating student who is residing within the Grand Prairie city limits, attending a Grand Prairie school, or having served in multiple GPAC Productions. The student must have a “C” average or better and who is planning to pursue a post-secondary education following graduation. High School Transcript, two letters of recommendation and an essay are required. Participants in an Arts Council production or event will be given special consideration.
Preference will be given to those students who have helped out over a year’s time OR periodically over two or more years.

Applicant must:
Fill out the application form.

As part of the Application, the Applicant must include the below in the submission to GPAC:

Two letters of recommendation.

Copy of high school transcript.

Essay describing your most memorable experience in the arts - not to exceed one page (front only) typed.
NOTE: Pay attention to spelling, grammar & neatness of application - it counts

(Art, Dance, Instrumental/Vocal Music, Theatre, etc)
The Grand Prairie Arts Council is proud to offer one $1000 fine arts scholarship. This scholarship is intended to reward fine arts students for past accomplishments and to encourage future pursuits in the Arts.
The Scholarship is awarded to a graduating student who is residing within the Grand Prairie city limits, attending a Grand Prairie school, or having served in multiple GPAC Productions. The student must have a “C” average or better and be planning to pursue a post-secondary education following graduation.
