GPAC gives out scholarships every year to students for our Summer in the Arts programming and seniors pursuing higher education in the arts.

2026 FINE ARTS SCHOLARSHIPS
The Grand Prairie Arts Council is proud to offer two $1,000 Fine Arts Scholarships to recognize past accomplishments and encourage future pursuits in the arts.
These scholarships are open to graduating seniors who have demonstrated a commitment to the arts, whether through participation in fine arts programs or through volunteer service with the Grand Prairie Arts Council.
The scholarships will be awarded to students who:

Reside within the Grand Prairie city limits, or
-
Attend a Grand Prairie school, or
-
Have participated in multiple GPAC productions
Applicants must have a “C” average or better and plan to pursue a post-secondary education following graduation.
Selection Considerations
Special consideration will be given to applicants who:

Have participated in a Grand Prairie Arts Council production or event
-
Have volunteered with GPAC over an extended period (one year or more, or periodically over two or more years)
Participation in GPAC is encouraged but not required.
Requirements for Consideration
Applicants must complete the application form.
As part of the application, applicants must also submit:

Two letters of recommendation

A copy of their high school transcript
-
An essay describing their most memorable experience in the arts (not to exceed one typed page, front only)
Additional Notes
Attention to spelling, grammar, and overall presentation will be considered in the evaluation process.
