GPAC gives out scholarships every year to students for our Summer in the Arts programming and seniors pursuing higher education in the arts.

Current Scholarship Opportunities

SUMMER IN THE ARTS 
PROGRAM SCHOLARSHIP 
Deadline TBD

Ages: 7 - 15 years old 

Want to inspire your child’s creative side this summer? Enroll them in the Grand Prairie Arts Council’s Summer in the Arts Program - 3 weeks of arts programming in the summer of 2024. Sessions run Mondays-Fridays, 9 am - 4 pm. Each workshop culminates in performances and exhibits.































 

GRAND PRAIRIE ARTS COUNCIL FINE ARTS SCHOLARSHIP 

Amount: $1,000
(one to be awarded)

Graduating Seniors 
Deadline:  May 20, 2024
 
The Grand Prairie Arts Council is proud to offer one $1000 fine arts scholarship. This scholarship is intended to reward fine arts students for past accomplishments and to encourage future pursuits in the Arts.
 
The Scholarship is awarded to a graduating student who is residing within the Grand Prairie city limits, attending a Grand Prairie school, or having served in multiple GPAC Productions. The student must have a “C” average or better and be planning to pursue post-secondary education following graduation. High School Transcript, two letters of recommendation and an essay are required. Participants in an Arts Council production or event will be given special consideration.

All material must arrive at GPAC complete. Incomplete applications will be discarded. Application cover page, (found online), high school transcript, and a one page essay to the Board of Directors about what got you involved in the arts and you dreams for the future.


Will be awarded June 21, 2024



 

GRAND PRAIRIE ARTS COUNCIL VOLUNTEER SCHOLARSHIP

Amount: $1,000
(one to be awarded) 

Graduating Seniors 
Deadline: May 20, 2024
 
This scholarship is intended to reward a student for volunteering for the Grand Prairie Arts Council. Awarded to a graduating student planning to pursue post-secondary education following graduation. Preference will be given to those students who have helped out over a year's time OR periodically over 2 or more years. 

All material must arrive at GPAC complete. Incomplete applications will be discarded. Application cover page, (found online), high school transcript, and a one page essay to the Board of Directors about what got you involved in the arts and you dreams for the future.
